Do you know Japanese food which is flat round like Martabak? Yup, that is Okonomiyaki. Okonomiyaki (お 好 み 焼 き) is Japanese food made from wheat flour mixed with water or dashi containing vegetables, eggs, meat, seafood and fried on a flat frying pan called teppan.
Okonomiyaki restaurants are found in every corner of Japan. In front of the restaurant a lantern or banner with the words "okonomiyaki" is installed. The okonomiyaki restaurant usually provides a special teppan or hotplate on each table so that guests can cook their own okonomiyaki.
